Switzerland is one of the leading countries that has recognized yoga therapy as a complementary medicine discipline by offering a federal diploma. This yoga therapy diploma was introduced in 2015 and was a response from the Swiss government for the strong demand in Switzerland for complementary therapies. The diploma is fully recognized and you can go to a Yoga Therapist the way you would go to a Physical Therapist.
A similar program in the US is Gary Kraftsows Viniyoga Foundations Program combined with the Viniyoga Clinical Applications Program. Although yoga therapists registered with IAYT.org (International Association of Yoga Therapist) are unfortunately not (yet) federally acknowledged as health professionals in the US.
